Currently under construction at the Ancona-based WIDER shipyard, the new WIDER 165′ yacht starts taking shape. The first plates of the luxury motor yacht WIDER 165’ were cut this week.
Tilli Antonelli, President and Founder of WIDER, was present for the momentous event and reflected the upbeat mood of the workforce in his comments: “This is an exciting step forward for our shipyard. It would not be fair to say that work has now started on the 165’ because actually we have been working for well over one year to ensure a high standard of excellence in the finished product. Now we can start to really see the results of our work though, as the yacht will take shape before our eyes in the talented and experienced hands of our craftsmen.”
Superyacht WIDER 165′ has been customised to satisfy every desire of her owner, and boasts even greater volume than luxury yacht WIDER 150′. This means that she can even house a personal submarine and accommodate a touch and go helicopter pad as well as offering generous interior spaces, whilst remaining under 500 GRT.
The innovative diesel electric propulsion system and overall styling of the WIDER 165′ yacht will be in line with the 150’ to keep the WIDER family identity, and is scheduled for completion in 2016. The owner has kindly granted permission for her to be displayed at the Cannes Boat Show and Monaco Yacht Show that year.
