On the opening day of the Monaco Yacht Show 2019, Italian shipbuilders Wider have announced two new luxury yacht projects: The 54m WIDER 180 and the 41m WIDER 135.
During a press conference held at the Hotel Hermitage in Eze, Marcello Maggi, Philip Zepter and Tiziano Giovannetti gave details on the builds which will be under construction shortly: The first cut of the WIDER 180 hull is planned for the beginning of 2020 and delivery is expected in 2022.
Andrea Vallicelli and C Yacht Design produced her clean and modern design the has impressive volumes for a yacht in this size category: The lower deck swim platform and beach club combine to create an area of 160m2/1722ft2 and a seawater swimming pool, spa and gym ensure that guests have plenty to keep them occupied while at anchor. The addition of the Floating Launch System allows for easier launch and returns of the 10m/32.8ft tender. The WIDER 180 also represents the shipyard’s continuing efforts towards 100% electronic technology and the vessel comes equipped with one main generator and an emergency backup generator that results in a weight reduction on board, reduced maintenance expenses and less fuel consumption.
The WIDER 135 will be constructed entirely out of aluminium and features a dynamic exterior from Michele Lubrano Lobianco. Similar to the larger WIDER 180, the WIDER 135 has a fold-out swim platform that creates a 90m2/968.7ft2 multi-use sea platform perfect for sunbathing around the infinity pool.
Two new versions of the WIDER 32 and WIDER 42 are also in the works, with more details to be released at a later date. Lastly, worldwide industrialist Philip Zepter announced that Wider would be listed on the stock exchange within three years, with the company working towards that goal currently.
