Running from 11th – 16th September, the Italian luxury yacht builder, Wider Yachts, is currently attending the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes and, in partnership with Monaco Boat Service, will be also present in Monaco (19th-22nd September) during the Monaco Yacht Show, exhibiting the new Wider 42’ Côte D’Azur Edition yacht on the prominent partner quays.
Headed by Tilli Antonelli, the Wider team will be participating for the second year in a row to these very important nautical appointments: enthusiasts and prospect customers will get the chance to visit and also to experience through exciting sea trials the great Wider news. These two international events are also the perfect setting to present the interesting developments which characterize the Wider 150 superyacht, the innovative Wider maxi yacht now further enriched within the sphere of the interiors.
The new Wider 42’ yacht on-board features made the vessel even more efficient, functional and flexible in order to adjust to any requirement, especially in terms of energy saving. Wider 42’ Cote D’Azur edition differs from the first version of the Wider cockpit by being even lighter, the most important feature once again being the use of carbon.
The new layout of the cockpit – the heart of the yacht – offers interchangeable solutions for greater flexibility. The lunch dinette, produced entirely in carbon and featuring an electrically raised table, is highly versatile and can be turned into a comfortable sundeck or smart chaise longue as necessary. This area also has a unit set up as an outdoor galley that includes a sink, large central work surface and 51l. removable icebox designed so those aboard will always have iced drinks and fresh fruit to hand. A teppanyaki griddle for grilling food and a 50l. freezer can be added on request.
But the latest Wider innovations do not end here: taking part at boat shows is also an opportunity for presenting the latest developments of the Wider 150’ superyacht – also designed by Fulvio De Simoni – namely definition of the propulsion and interiors of the maxi yacht. The 150 footer combines an excellent performance in terms of how the various environments can be used, speed and lower consumption with a timeless, highly elegant design.
The aesthetic balance of the lines and interior details of the luxury yacht Wider 150 focus mainly on achieving perfect integration and harmony between ship and sea, starting with the size of the stern volumes. This contributes significantly to making life in direct contact with the sea even more pleasant, also thanks to the beautiful internal pool and spacious “Wider beach”.
Besides the stern, the large glazed surfaces which open up on each deck emphasize the contact with the great outdoors, making the interiors light and airy. The latter, which take up the simple lines of the exterior, stand out for the studied choice of just a few dominant colours and alternation of surfaces with polished and opaque finishes.
The upper deck features a lunch area adjacent to the entrance which, designed to disappear completely, enables those on board to dine outdoors. The main deck has an external cockpit astern, an internal large and sunny living area in the center and the master suite is forward. It stretches out over the entire width of the Wider 150 yacht, bringing copious amounts of light into this area and an unparalleled panoramic view.
The starboard bulwark of the master suite also opens up towards the outside to create a beautiful terrace over the sea. The captain’s cabin is located aft of the wheelhouse, so he has complete control over the ship at all times, whilst the forward section of the lower deck is reserved for the crew and services. Four large cabins set astern and equipped with en suite heads are reserved for guests, whom, thanks to an external run through between the decks, can access all the external areas without having to go through the closed, air-conditioned interiors.
“Over less than two years after Wider was established, we are honored to participate again to these very important events and to present the developments and the new features of our products. – declared Tilli Antonelli, founder of Wider – “These latest months of great commitment, especially on an international level, have been of enormous satisfaction for both myself and my whole team, like the assignment of the American luxury magazine Robb Report’s ‘Best of the Best 2012’ prestigious award to our Wider 42’.
The yacht has been chosen for having successfully redefined the weekend-cruiser category. Moreover, we have recently celebrated the launch of our 10th 42 footer, a very important goal at the end of the 2011-2012 nautical season which registered a turnover of 6 million Euros. The Cannes and Monaco boat shows are the best way to start the new boating season as they represent the most prestigious European boating windows, a fundamental occasion to dialogue with the global market, especially for an international project like Wider is.”
