Following a very successful world launch of the all-new Sportjet range at the 2014 Cannes Yachting Festival, Williams Performance Tenders, the world’s leading jet tender builder, is proud to announce that it will launch the second model in the range, the Sportjet 520 yacht tender, at the 2015 London Boat Show.
The Sportjet 520 superyacht tender offers a brand new concept for the sport RIB, combining the safety and fun of a jet drive with the high performance of the industry-leading BRP Rotax® 4-TEC 150 engine. Speed and practicality are both key to this beautiful craft, which has been designed to thrill any keen water skier or wakeboarder.
Light enough to be trailed behind a car or easily stored on the platform of a yacht, the Sportjet 520 has huge appeal to both standalone boaters, as well as owners looking for another of Williams’ perfect tenders for their yacht. The 520 luxury yacht tender features all of the fantastic features seen on the Sportjet 460 but with the benefit of additional space and storage.
The Sportjet is incredibly easy to handle and its light weight makes for a blistering experience on the water. Owners can throw open the throttle and the Sportjet will literally fly! As a yacht tender, it offers supreme safety with no exposed propeller, easy boarding and a concealed bathing ladder – offering the stability and comfort that only a RIB can give.
The Sportjet range sees a new move for the company with them featuring the Rotax 4-TEC 150 jet propulsion system. The legendary Rotax 4-TEC series is recognised as one of the cleanest and quietest engines in the industry, providing high performance, superior handling and low maintenance, as well as meeting the stringent CARB 3-star ultra-low-emission standards. In addition, owners of the new Sportjet benefit from a full three-year warranty.
The Sportjet is available in four different colour schemes, with customers being able to select from the sleek tones of the Neptune Grey or Basalt Black, opt for the sporty Electro Blue, or go bold with the Lava Red look.
Just some of the features on board the new Sportjet include a large sports platform area, rear-facing sports lounge seats, convertible backrest for sunbathing, folding helm with windshield, Sea Dek footwell and platform, a large storage locker forward, and an additional storage locker in the helm. A windscreen, ski pole, navigation lights and bathing ladder are fitted as standard with optional extras including LED lights, bimini, spray dodger, Garmin chart plotter and a Fusion music system.
Mathew Hornsby, Sales Director at Williams Performance Tenders, commented: “We have been delighted with the response to the launch of the Sportjet range and we are very pleased with our long-term relationship working with BRP. The performance of both models has been outstanding and we hope to introduce even more customers to the world of the Sportjet at London Boat Show.”
Founded by brothers Mathew and John Hornsby in 2004, Williams has established itself as the world’s leading jet tender specialist, renowned for its range of Turbojet and Dieseljet models.
