September 5, 2015 saw the arrival of the 55m motor yacht LADY A (ex Southern Cross III, Emihar Chios, Indian Princess) at Burgess Marine in Portchester, Portsmouth, UK, in order to undergo a substantial winter refit. Originally built in 1986 in Japan, superyacht LADY A has been entirely designed by Bannenberg & Rowell.
The refit of luxury yacht LADY A will include minor structural, mechanical and electrical modifications, as well as the installation of new Naiad stabilisers. Moreover, the vessel will undergo modifications and improvements to both the interior and exterior styling, and a new external paint scheme.
The refit of LADY A yacht is being directly managed by the Owners Team with Burgess Marine acting as the primary contractor, in collaboration with Shemara Refit. Houlder are responsible for design and naval architecture support.
Ray Cutts, the company’s Technical Director, said: “The docking was a complete success with everything going exactly to plan. She’s a big boat for the facility and with Tacanuya here too the site will certainly be getting busy. MY Lady A is a wonderful yacht and we genuinely look forward to working with the Shemara Refit team on another unique and seriously exciting project.”
At the same time, Burgess Marine is finishing refit works on board motor yacht Tacanuya, as well as the new build of the eagerly awaited Glider Yachts prototype.
