The US Virgin Islands is planning to welcome luxury yacht charters back into its waters from the start of June.
Although the islands are still adhering to social distancing rules, the tourism and travel industries will be up and running to serve motor yachts and sailing yachts cruising between the islands. According to the US Virgin Islands tourism website, locals are currently allowed to access retail stores, private offices and health services as long as they wear a mask outside the home.
The international airport will receive commercial and private flights from locations across the USA (dependent on travel restrictions in each state), including Miami, where there is already a large fleet of charter yachts ready to cruise the Caribbean & Bahamas.
Superyachts UNBRIDLED, BELLA VITA, HOME, EXCELLENCE and CHRISTINA TOO have already confirmed their availability for charter this summer in the USVIs, where there are myriad Scuba dive sites for all ages, fantastic fishing grounds and an abundance of beaches for quiet relaxation in an idyllic setting. Families can use the shallow draft of a catamaran to access remote shallow beaches around St. John and St. Croix, where you can windsurf, kitesurf and kayak above stunning coral reefs where mantas, turtles and reef sharks roam at leisure.
