Yachting Developments and Adam Lay Studio are proud to release the first details about the interior of the beautiful 33,7m Hull 1012 yacht, currently under construction. Scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2016, superyacht Hull 1012 is a majestic Frers sloop, designed as a family orientated vessel capable of travelling the world in maximum comfort and style.
“Serious blue water sailing has been driving the project and the design brief from the start,” said Adam Lay, responsible for the elegant interior design of sailing yacht Hull 1012. “The owners are proper sailors who undertake lengthy voyages enjoying the journey as much if not more than the destination.”
The interiors of luxury yacht Hull 1012 will be spacious and full of natural light, taking inspiration from the owners’ previous yacht. A family orientated layout, with a natural flow between the owner and crew spaces, will create an open plan apartment style layout that maximizes the interior. “This layout, where you can virtually see from the forward bulkhead to the aft bulkhead was a major part of the design brief and layout optimisation discussion,” said Lay.
A focal living space on board Hull 1012 superyacht will be the generous full-beam salon, with portholes, skylights and high level coachroof windows, all streaming light inwards. The salon hosts a bar to starboard and a versatile dining area for eight people.
The lovely cabins aboard Hull 1012 yacht will comfortably sleep up to 8 guests, and will be themed around memorable trips on board the owner’s previous yacht. “The colour schemes have been meticulously worked around the owner’s photographic images which will eventually adorn the new yacht’s bulkheads,” commented Lay. The full-beam owner’s cabin can be found aft and features skylights to add natural light and allow airflow without air conditioning.
“Adam Lay Studio is delighted to be working with the owners and their family on this project,” added Lay. “It is a pleasure to work with Germán Frers again after our successful collaboration on the five times award-winning S/Y Inukshuk and also with Yachting Developments after a successful collaboration on the award-winning refit of J-Class Endeavour.”
“It has been a pleasure for Yachting Developments specialist interior team to work on the interior of Hull 1012, which has been so beautifully designed by Adam Lay together with the owners,” said Ian Cook, Managing Director of Yachting Developments. “As the build of Hull 1012 enters its final six months we are looking forward to showing off the end result to the world.”
A full interior design overview as well as designer’s statements will be unveiled upon the vessel’s launch.
