In addition to its hand-delivered print directories as well as website, Yachting Pages is now presenting its digital books that are available to download. Keeping up with the Joneses in the booming world of digital and e-books, Yachting Pages is a leading superyacht directory, with more than 60,000 printed copies distributed worldwide.
Internet communications can falter at sea which is why Yachting Pages is now announcing its three downloadable directories.
Daisy Maryles, of Publishers Weekly, highlighted the huge rise in e-book sales over the last 24 months. She said, “In 2010, five e-books had sales of 200,000 or more units. In 2011, a whopping 35 titles had sales of more than 200,000.” This 600% year on year increase testifies to the different ways audiences purchase and consume their reading materials.
Kerry O’Neill, marketing executive at Yachting Pages is from a publishing background and has watched the growth of the digital market with interest. She said, “Yachting Pages has a water-tight, three pronged approach to helping our customers find what they need, the moment they need it.
“Our print directories sit on superyacht captains’ bridges worldwide. Our website lets you search, refine and find whatever your superyacht needs, straight from your ‘phone or laptop. Yachting Pages’ digital books are that extra safety net and, like our printed books, are completely free.
“When the internet’s down and the chief engineer has left the printed Yachting Pages in the engine room, you can simply open up the Yachting Pages e-book from your desktop and away you go.”
Free electronic versions of each print directory can be downloaded online.
Yachting Pages’ three digital editions cover the Mediterranean, Europe, Africa and Middle East; the USA, the Americas and Caribbean; and Australasia, Asia Pacific and Far East.
The new editions of the digital books will be released in May 2013.
