Yachting Pages Media Group, the company specializing in offering products as well as services to the superyacht market, has announced record sales at the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). Having participated in the event year on year, Yachting Pages saw a 93% increase in sales, in comparison to the last year’s show.
Sarrah Macey, global events manager for the company said, “I think this reaffirms that although visitor numbers saw a slight decline compared to previous years, the quality of attendees has increased.
“We sent a smaller sales team than ever, but saw our best sales at the show. I think this is down to our developing product range meeting gaps and needs in the market and also the level and relevance of attendees, most likely due to the entrance fee hike to €150 per day.”
Monaco Yacht Show 2014 showcased a record 115 superyachts and 510 exhibiting companies over the four days and welcomed 32,921 visitors. Organisers are confident that they will maintain their 90% renewal rate for exhibiting companies in 2015.
The sun shone over the four days of the show, ensuring last-minute ticket sales and offering a busy, bustling atmosphere. There were 76 superyachts available for sale and charter, with many viewings taking place at MYS.
Sarrah added, “We were happy with the footfall at our stand and enjoy welcoming visitors with a drink and a smile. We also ran a couple of competitions at the show in partnership with Global Marine Communications and Veritais, giving away iPad minis and Go Pros, which went down well, as you can imagine.”
Monaco Yacht Show celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2015 and to celebrate, they are reconfiguring the layout to welcome megayachts up to 120m along the quay Rainier III and repositioning Darse Nord on the Quai Antoine 1er.
