Oceanco Y717 Yasmin – Oceanco, 90m
Little is currently known about the 90m/295ft superyacht currently in build by Oceanco but her appearance is believed to be based on a concept from renowned designer Luiz de Basto. Once Y717 launches in 2018 she will become the yard’s flagship superyacht.

Also known as FEADSHIP BN701, PROJECT PROMISE is a 51m/167ft superyacht with expedition yacht styling being built for an Asian client. Bannenberg & Rowell are working on the interiors, and the team completed the exterior styling for other Feadship superyacht JOY in 2016 and the interiors for superyacht BOOK ENDS by Heesen Yachts in 2017.

London-based Eidsgaard Design will be completing the interior and exterior styling for this 74.5m/244ft luxury yacht, which has a 12.8/42ft beam and accommodation of 6 guest cabins, one of which is the Owner’s cabin on the main deck. Currently reported amenities place an eight-metre long swimming pool on the sundeck and an observation deck.
Tankoa S701 – Tankoa Yachts, 71m
In an advanced build-stage, 71m/233ft luxury yacht S701 will launch in 2018 and have the exterior styling of Francesco Paszkowski Design. Interior concept images reveal a sophisticated and sultry setting that uses dark natural tones and carefully spaced lighting to create an entirely different environment after sundown.
Columbus Classic 80m – Palumbo, 80m
First unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show 2014, the Columbus Oceanic Classic design was directly influenced by environmentally friendly studies and a hybrid propulsion engine is a part of the design. Vafiadis and Associates will style her exteriors and interiors, within which there are a spacious beach club a massage room and sauna as well as 11 beautifully crafted guest suites, including 1 Master suite and 4 VIP staterooms.
Project Thunder – Lurssen, 135m
Designed by Espen Oeino, PROJECT THUNDER is a glossy black hull and silver superstructure that looks more like a floating modern mansion than a typical superyacht: Black windows stretch over 3 decks to add a vertical dimension to the sleek, mostly horizontal lines. The interiors have been described as ‘traditional’ by the yard and there is a helicopter hangar concealed within. This imposing 135m/443ft mega yacht is expected to be spotted cruising through the world’s favourite charter grounds in 2018.
Spectre – Benetti, 69m
M/Y SPECTRE (FB269) is currently being completed for owner John Staluppi, a man known in the superyacht industry for his penchant for naming his yachts after James Bond films. Mulder Design will be working on her naval architecture and Giorgio M. Cassetta was selected to style her exteriors. Luxury yacht SPECTRE will have a top speed of 21 knots and a range of 6,500 nautical miles while cruising at 12 knots. Expected delivery is early summer 2018.
Project Antares – Heesen, 55m
Sistership to 55m/180ft luxury yacht LAURENTIA (ex. PROJECT ALIDA), PROJECT ANTARES was designed with a slightly different layout for increased space in the Master suite on the main deck forward. Her American owner is an avid sportfisher and requested facilities tailored to this end. Francesco Paszkowski is designing the interiors and the exteriors will be completed by Omega Architects. She is expected for delivery in November 2018.
Turquoise NB63 – Turquoise, 77m
Drawing from the best aspects of award-winning 72m/236ft mega yacht VICKY, the 77m/253ft luxury yacht known as TURQUOISE NB63 is sure to elicit attention when she is delivered in 2018. H2 Yacht Design is producing her interiors and exteriors for an uninterrupted flow between guest spaces, including the guest accommodation designed for up to 18 people. The owner’s suite has a private deck and Jacuzzi while guests accommodated across the other eight cabins are not neglected, having a choice of a beach club, gym, steam room, spa treatment room and a 5-metre sundeck swimming pool to choose from.
CRN 135 – CRN, 79m
79m/259ft motor yacht CRN 135 will be the shipyard’s second largest yacht once delivered and will make use of the styling talents of Zuccon International Project and Laura Sessa Design. There are 6 guest cabins to sleep up to 12 guests, consisting of 1 Master suite and 5 VIP staterooms and a crew of 39 to spoil everyone, no matter how large or exclusive the occasion.
Project Balance – Benetti, 63m
Privacy was one of the key considerations when selecting the layout for 63m/207ft motor yacht PROJECT BALANCE (FB276) and the Owner’s suite on the upper deck is a prime example, offering its own lounge and exclusive terrace. Giorgio M. Cassetta is responsible for the exteriors while Bannenberg & Rowell have produced interiors that use a muted spectrum of colours to amplify the light and sense of space within. An unusual characteristic is an asymmetrical layout that places recreational spaces such as the beach club at a 30° angle for a different view out over the water.
DAYS – AES Yachts, 68m
The owner asked for generous interiors and a sense of volume from 68m/223ft luxury yacht DAYS and the request was fulfilled with a layout placed over 5 decks and a beam of 12m/39ft. Floor-to-ceiling windows and indoor ‘gardens’ enhance the guest areas, which use natural textures and pale tones for a tranquil social environment.
M/Y DAYS is expected to launch in the summer of 2018. Engineering comes from Endaze Marine Engineering, exteriors by Michele Dragoni of Hot Lab Yacht Design and interiors by Enrico Lumini.
Oceanco Project Y717
Mangusta Gransport 54 – Overmarine, 54m
Overmarine Group has collaborated with Alberto Mancini to create the breathtaking interiors and exteriors of the MANGUSTA GRANDSPORT 54, a motor yacht designed with an aluminium hull and superstructure that balances alfresco living with indoor elegance.
Concept images reveal light-infused interiors where floor-to-ceiling windows run the complete length of the open-plan salon. Geometric forms add a futuristic element to a familiar and welcoming contemporary environment where comfort and efficiency are as important as appearance. 12 guests will be accommodated over 5 cabins and the MANGUSTA GRANDSPORT 54 will be capable of a top speed of 29 knots and a range of 4,200 nautical miles at 12 knots.
Project Lightning – Lurssen, 135+m
As with the majority of Lurssen’s projects under construction, there is not much information floating around about the highly anticipated Project Lightning. We know that the megayacht will be around 135 metres in length and surely impress everyone. From the available videos and images, the ship will most likely feature huge interior and exterior deck areas, a massive beach club and has enough space for a couple of helipads. Although she is not due for delivery until 2019, she is certainly one of the yachts to follow in 2018.
